Senior Finance Manager/Head of Finance

Job Summary
Manage accounting operations and external bookkeeping partners to ensure audit-ready books by Business Day 10 and handle statutory filings. Architect the finance stack by auditing tools like Xero and Payroll to automate data entry, while designing spend controls and internal SOPs for scalable processes. Deliver monthly and quarterly financial packages including P&L and variance analysis, own the cash flow forecast, and prepare investor updates for the board. Build multi-year financial models for Series B readiness and partner with operational teams on project finance controls. Report directly to the COO to drive financial strategy and support the leadership team in navigating growth.
Required Qualifications
- Valid right to work in country of residence without needing sponsorship
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or equivalent - fully completed)
- Strong background in Finance
- Experience managing external bookkeeping firm
- Experience managing external tax/accounting partners
- Experience delivering monthly and quarterly financial packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Variance Analysis)
- Experience owning cash flow forecast and managing working capital
- Experience preparing monthly investor updates and quarterly board decks
- Ability to build and maintain multi-year integrated financial model
- Experience building robust financial & commercial models for project controls
- Experience configuring finance software and integrating systems
- Ability to build internal SOPs for scaling finance function
- Experience designing expense culture with approval workflows and burn rate visibility
- Experience managing accounting function and ensuring audit-ready books by Business Day 10
- Experience ensuring seamless filing of Annual Accounts, VAT, R&D tax credits
- Ability to spot reconciliation errors
- Experience building complex models for Series B readiness
