Senior Finance Business Partner, Consumer Goods

Job Summary
Act as the lead commercial finance advisor to the General Manager and Consumer Goods Leadership Team, driving profitable growth, market share expansion, and value creation through strategic partnering. Own financial performance across revenue, gross profit, EBIT, working capital, inventory, and cash flow while evaluating customer negotiations, tenders, pricing strategies, and new business opportunities. Lead planning and forecasting for annual budgets and rolling forecasts, manage M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration, and oversee finance transformation via automation and Power BI. Ensure financial governance, accuracy, compliance, and data integrity while collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and global teams. Report to the Director, Finance NZ in New Zealand, supporting long-term growth initiatives within one of the country's largest distribution operations.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience in commercial finance, business partnering or FP&A within FMCG, retail, distribution or other fast‐paced industries
- Strong commercial judgement with the confidence to challenge and influence senior leaders
- Deep partnering capability and a proven track record supporting strategic, customer‐focused environments
- Experience in transformation, analytics and process improvement, ideally including Power BI or automation
- Cross‐functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects and work with global and regional teams
- Professional qualifications including a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Personal attributes including resilience, integrity, structured problem‐solving, autonomy and a proactive mindset
