Job Summary
Provide accounting assistance to the Production Team by ensuring vendor invoices are properly coded and authorized, managing and reconciling production prepaid and credit cards, and handling T&E expenses via Concur. Liaise with Accounts Payable on payables issues and assist Production Managers with monthly actual cost reporting against budget, analyzing variances and proactively reporting spend and revenue. Monitor up-to-date cost trackers and ensure timely invoice processing and expense reconciliation. Work autonomously with irregular hours, requiring flexibility and adaptability for this sleeves-up role within a busy team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Studying for a recognised Accounting Qualification (such as SOCPA license training)
- University Degree or equivalent in a Accounting related subject
- Must be numerate and able to organise and deal with multiple tasks and determine priorities
- Must be able to work without close supervision and have the initiative to deal with problems as they arise or refer them to Supervisors for further investigation
- Must have the initiative to deal with problems as they arise or refer to Supervisors for further investigation when required
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload on a Daily Basis
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good verbal and written Communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Strong numeracy skills
- Previous experience in an Accounting/Finance environment
- Must be flexible and adaptable and prepared to work as part of a Team and occasionally, irregular hours
- Must have an interest in Television Production and a desire to pursue a career in the Industry
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the SAP Accounting System
- Knowledge of the Television Programme Production Business
- An interest in Sport
