Job Summary
Lead Field Services Technician responsible for directing field service operations for fiber optic termination, testing, troubleshooting, blown fiber installation/removal, and splicing across shipboard systems and vessel classes. Responsibilities include mentoring junior technicians, overseeing installation/removal, interpreting complex wiring diagrams, operating optical test equipment to verify cable performance, reviewing/testing documentation to meet customer requirements, maintaining calibration of termination and test equipment, and supervising field work in shipboard environments. Requires leadership experience, ability to coordinate international travel for field service teams, collaboration with project managers and engineering teams, and readiness to satisfy Navy standards and security requirements. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or industrial school certificate required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense SECRET clearance
- Must pass drug screening, physical exam, and background check for access to Navy installations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport
- Willingness to travel, including overseas assignments
- Availability for overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available for on-call emergency tasks
