Job Summary
Senior Field Service Technician to lead on-site installation, startup, commissioning, validation, preventive maintenance, and corrective service of LiquidStack liquid cooling systems; act as primary technical escalation point in the field; mentor junior technicians; serve as on-site technical authority during installations, outages, and critical events; perform advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, hydronic, electrical, controls, and thermal subsystems; read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and drawings; coordinate work within 24x7 data center environments including UPS, PDU, generators, and BMS/DCIM; deliver customer training and system handovers; complete detailed service reports and root-cause analyses; utilize service ticketing systems; participate in 24x7 on-call rotations; travel up to ~50% domestically with occasional international trips.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- EPA 608 Universal Certification (Types I, II, and III)
- OSHA 10 (General Industry)
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% (primarily domestic with occasional international travel)
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and sequence-of-operations documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
