Job Summary
Senior-level Field Service Technician responsible for delivering high-quality technical services for electrical distribution infrastructure across HV/MV/LV systems. Lead with technical service delivery including testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and installations on switchgear, transformers, protective relays, and control systems. Manage service projects from planning to execution while ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards and driving profitability. Develop customer relationships, identify new service opportunities, and provide tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Requires 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience, a college diploma or university degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, and bilingual communications in French and English. Travel locally and nationally (approximately 20%), with flexibility for overtime and after-hours calls. Knowledge of ABB Electrification products or comparable solutions preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education: College diploma or university degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, protective relays, control systems)
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and standards
- Fluent in French and English; ability to communicate with customers outside of Quebec
- Willingness to travel locally and nationally (~20%), overtime, and on-call service conditions
- Knowledge of ABB Electrification products or similar solutions
