Job Summary
Senior Field Service Technician role with ABB in the US (Illinois). You will perform field service tasks on-site with customers, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, and end-of-life services, while adhering to quality and safety guidelines. You will troubleshoot on-site, identify opportunities for operational improvement, communicate timelines and expectations to customers, coach and supervise technicians, prepare material lists, and identify potential sales opportunities. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, safety, and collaboration across technical teams, with a remote work model and must be located in Illinois. Requires a electrical engineering degree or related experience (4+ years with a Bachelor’s or 6+ years with an Associate, or 8+ years with HS) and work authorization for the US.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 4+ years’ experience servicing critical power equipment OR Associates Degree in electrical technology with 6+ years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment OR High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work and/or military experience (8+ years) servicing critical power equipment.
