Job Summary
Join WMH as a Senior Field Service Mechanic/Technician specializing in forklifts and heavy machinery. This full-time position requires 5+ years of experience, advanced technical knowledge, and a passion for mentoring junior technicians. Responsibilities include on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintaining peak performance of equipment while delivering outstanding customer service.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years as a mechanic/technician in material handling, heavy equipment, or automotive industries
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial machinery
- ASE Certification (preferred) in brakes, electrical, diesel, and preventative maintenance
- Forklift certification (a plus)
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex industrial equipment
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, equipment compliance, and workplace safety standards
- Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
- Proven ability to train, coach, and guide junior technicians
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with diagnostic software, schematics, Microsoft Office, digital work platforms, & fleet management systems
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven
- Valid driver’s license required for company van usage
