Job Summary
Senior Field Service Engineer role supporting power systems across industrial and utility environments. Responsibilities include performing generator and electrical system modeling for NERC compliance, developing installation task lists and technical designs, coordinating mobilization and logistics, troubleshooting relay and control systems, traveling to customer sites for installations and training, assisting with testing and maintenance of generator excitation systems, and producing detailed trip reports documenting failures and corrective actions. Requires experience with excitation systems, voltage regulators, generator protection, protective relays, and power system controls, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Bluebeam. Remote work with significant travel (35–45%) nationwide; engineering background preferred and a willingness to travel. Required Qualifications
- Experience with excitation systems, voltage regulators, generator protection systems, protective relays, or power system controls strongly preferred
- Generator and electrical system modeling experience
- NERC compliance knowledge and modeling experience strongly preferred
- Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities within industrial or utility environments
- AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar drawing/documentation software experience preferred
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 35–45% throughout the U.S.
