Senior Field Service Engineer, Aviation - Northeast handles on-site, remote technical support for aviation satellite connectivity systems; travels to OEM facilities to provide on-wing support and demonstrations, and conducts customer/dealer training. Responsibilities include delivering telephone, remote, and onsite technical support; troubleshooting complex connectivity, installations, and aircraft compatibility issues; coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues and improve service outcomes; documenting root cause findings and maintaining technical records. Requires strong networking/IP knowledge, familiarity with RF and satellite communications (L-Band, Ku/Ka-band, VSAT, Inmarsat/Iridium), and the ability to read installation manuals and wiring diagrams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Aviation, or related technical field (or equivalent), 5+ years in aviation, and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally; relocation near a major airport in PA or NJ is expected for on-wing support. FAA/ EASA certifications are preferred; strong customer-service and training skills are essential; this is a safety-sensitive position with pre-employment drug testing. The role is based in the Northeast and requires the ability to work across teams, provide on-site demonstrations, and support customers, dealers, and OEMs.
