Job Summary
Senior Field Production Underwriter responsible for underwriting and marketing WC accounts across approved states/territories; owns the results of their book of business, balancing distribution and risk selection to drive profitable growth. Will manage agent/broker relationships, develop and execute business development plans, educate brokers on products, and maintain ongoing broker engagement through virtual/face-to-face meetings. Requires strong relationship-building, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to travel domestically (75-80%) and work in a remote-capable role. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) with two years of Workers’ Compensation underwriting experience; designation coursework (AU/CPCU/CIC/AINS) preferred; proficient in MS Office and capable of producing and presenting materials to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Minimum of two years of related experience in Workers Compensation insurance underwriting
- Ability to travel during the day and overnight (75-80%)
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Marketing, sales techniques, agency management, and risk assessment knowledge
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
