Job Summary
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial fencing projects based on drawings, specifications, bid documents, and customer requirements. Review project scope and identify labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and scheduling requirements. Analyze project requirements and develop pricing strategies that align with objectives and profitability. Collaborate with project managers and operations during pre-construction; solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor pricing; negotiate pricing and terms; conduct site visits to validate assumptions; monitor costs and support budget management throughout the project lifecycle; leverage estimating software to develop accurate estimates and reports; maintain current knowledge of fencing materials and installation methods.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience estimating commercial and industrial fencing projects.
- Proficiency with estimating software and computerized takeoff tools.
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Experience negotiating pricing and contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
