Job Summary
Lead data collection, analysis, and tracking of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to identify operational constraints and high-cost labor areas. Maintain detailed factory simulation models and value stream maps to identify upcoming changes and ensure contingencies protect operational goals. Develop comprehensive factory efficiency and integration guidelines, validating them across facilities while partnering with Operations, Quality, and Automation teams to ensure seamless integration of new cells and machinery. Create strategic alignment to prepare factories for new products and address capacity constraints proactively. This role supports VulcanForms' vertically integrated capabilities in additive manufacturing and precision machining, combining cutting-edge technology with industrial craftsmanship to deliver end-to-end production at scale.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) within a high-stakes, high-precision production environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Expert-level knowledge of automation, discrete event simulation, python scripting, material flow planning, 2D and 3D factory CAD systems
Desired Qualifications
- Proven track record of driving efficiency models specifically tailored for highly automated or 'lights-out' manufacturing initiatives
- Hands-on familiarity with metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) environments and the unique capacity, powder-handling, and post-processing bottlenecks associated with them
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
