Job Summary
Lead electrical infrastructure design, commissioning, and troubleshooting for the Greenville test labs, spanning 15 kV feeds down to 120 V and DC control systems. Champion electrical safety practices including LOTO procedures, NFPA 70E compliance, and arc flash mitigation strategies while managing vendor packages end-to-end. Perform advanced electrical studies using ETAP or SKM and develop detailed specifications, load lists, and one-line diagrams. Provide primary technical direction for facility-based projects, coordinating with mechanical engineers and external partners to integrate electrical systems into broader designs. Mentor junior engineers and prepare technical reports for internal stakeholders and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- 10+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering
- at least 5 years in facility or industrial power systems
- Proven track record in electrical construction, inspection, and troubleshooting during installation and commissioning
- Hands-on experience with MV/LV systems including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS/DC systems, generators, VFDs, and protection relays
- Advanced proficiency in electrical system modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower)
- Eligibility: 100% onsite at the Greenville, SC Technology Lab
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
- 10+ years of experience in electrical system design, FEED, and detailed engineering for large-scale facilities (oil & gas, petrochemical, hydrogen, refining, EPC)
- Demonstrated leadership in managing vendor packages, electrical buildings, and power distribution centers
- Strong grounding, cable sizing, breaker coordination, and electrical room layout expertise
- Experience with power generation facilities, transmission/distribution systems, and high-voltage equipment testing
- Working knowledge of global electrical codes and standards (NEC, CEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, ABS, OSHA)
