Job Summary
Senior Facilities Project Engineer responsible for oversight of facilities construction projects (e.g., New Embassy Compounds, new office buildings, large-scale renovations) and for facilitating design/drawing reconciliation, reviewing construction drawings, representing the customer (DoS OBO) on infrastructure issues, overseeing permits, and coordinating installation of communications systems enabling long-haul connectivity for posts globally. Leads project planning, scheduling, installation oversight, and strategic resource allocation, with required TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship for role eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field such as Networking, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or related field
- 9+ years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- U.S. citizenship
- Experience with multiple telecommunications systems and associated infrastructure
- Ability to work independently without oversight
- Familiarity with customer systems and technical security requirements for national security systems
