Job Summary
Lead the Facilities & Maintenance team to oversee daily site operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-performing environment. Manage maintenance teams and contractors, coordinate building systems dashboards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Act as the primary contact for colleague queries, handle facilities procurement and tendering, and optimize budgets to maximize value. Ensure full compliance with SOPs, Food Safety, and Health & Safety standards through regular audits and incident reporting. Build strong supplier relationships to negotiate cost savings while maintaining quality. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Full UK right to work required; sponsorship unavailable.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities and maintenance management, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and facilities operations
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, projects, and contractors to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions
- Solid understanding of health & safety legislation, compliance requirements, and operational standards
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality management standards
- A continuous improvement mindset, using data and insights to drive operational excellence
- Ability to foster a culture of high performance, safety, compliance, and accountability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire colleagues to achieve their full potential
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing performance and driving operational excellence
- Experience managing employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes up to and including dismissal
- Independent right to work in the UK
- Must be available Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
- You are required to cooperate with HelloFresh in all health and safety matters
- You are responsible for ensuring you take reasonable care of your own health, and safety as well as others who may be affected by the work activities you undertake
- You must report incidents immediately and actively raise health and safety-related concerns to your Line Manager
- We will process Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks to the successful individual
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree desirable)
- Experience managing Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and waste management contracts
