Job Summary
Inspect, appraise, and repair complex HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and construction systems in leased facilities, often working independently. Generate, manage, and prioritize work orders while ensuring code compliance, safety inspections, and indoor air quality standards are maintained. Troubleshoot and resolve emergency situations, coordinate vendor and contractor services, and contribute to business continuity planning and mitigation efforts. Maintain inventories, arrange training for staff, and implement procedural improvements to enhance operational readiness.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- At least 5 years experience in maintaining building systems in a commercial environment
- English language skills
- Intermediate to advanced math, reasoning, and computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Advanced Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing systems troubleshooting and repair
- Excellent understanding and application of Safety and Customer service skills
- Lift operator's certification
- Universal refrigerant license
- NEC 70E overview course completion
- Initiative, reliability, and ownership of department work
- Able to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- BOMA SMT or equivalent designation
- Advanced understanding of CAFM tools (building management systems, energy management, etc...)
- Advanced business continuity planning experience
