Job Summary
Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician at Aalo Atomics, based in Austin, TX. You will own the reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement of building and manufacturing systems, troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, pumps, motors, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, building controls), lead preventive/predictive maintenance, respond to facility emergencies, read blueprints/schematics/P&IDs, coordinate with outside contractors, maintain CMMS records, ensure safety compliance, and mentor junior technicians. Preference for nuclear/aerospace/defense environments, trade licensure, CMMS experience, and hands-on automation support.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of facilities, industrial, or plant maintenance experience with demonstrated breadth across both electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and manuals
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Solid understanding of relevant safety standards (OSHA, NEC, lockout/tagout)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor others
- High school diploma or equivalent
