Job Summary
Manage large facility projects involving outside contractors and in-house services, acting as the primary point of contact for plants BMS systems and fire system activities. Coordinate repairs for loading docks, plumbing, and HVAC work while estimating costs, developing proposals, and ensuring projects remain on schedule. Support the Engineering Department with project scheduling, document management, and value analysis of contractor services. Collaborate with contractors and on-site maintenance personnel to execute projects safely across multiple Prysmian locations in the US.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree
- Minimum 3+ years of Facilities Engineering experience
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building systems, utilities, and repair procedures relating to facilities management
- Good at prioritizing work load and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience reviewing specifications and developing proposals
- Proven organizational and project management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Good computing and software skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with hourly employees as well as exempt personnel in an industrial environment
- Experience with Fire Systems, Cooling Tower's, piping systems, and manufacturing facility
- Excellent organizational, filing, and recordkeeping skills
- Self-starter and a proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
