Senior Facilities Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct daily on-site surveillance and physical inspections to ensure workmanship and materials conform to project quality benchmarks while reviewing engineering blueprints and shop drawings to catch design errors. Translate project briefs into detailed design estimates using RSMeans, draft independent cost estimates for change requests, and process work clearance documents and safety permits. Supervise engineering workflows, align deliverables with contract requirements, and manage administrative controls across the project lifecycle from conceptual design through closeout. Maintain an archive of correspondence and submittals, update as-built drawings in AutoCAD/Revit, and prepare progress briefings for senior leadership. Requires a valid U.S. Government Secret security clearance and 5+ years of commercial construction inspection experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college
- 5 years or a combined total of 10 years of experience with commercial construction inspection preferably at a military installation
- Active or obtained OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification within 90 days of hire
- Tier 3 clearance (minimum)
- US Citizenship
- Real-time operational proficiency in AutoCAD (2024 or later)
- Real-time operational proficiency in Revit
- Real-time operational proficiency in RSMeans pricing databases
- Real-time operational proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Competent standard business English speaking and writing skills
- Capability to successfully meet and maintain local facility security access requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, and kneel for long periods of time
