Job Summary
Direct the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods, and manage the bar operations. Lead Human Resources across outlets: interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff; conduct performance and salary reviews; resolve problems and provide open communications. Implement company programs and manage Restaurant, Room Service and other outlets to ensure compliance with LSOPs/SOPs, safety regulations and local laws to deliver high-quality service. Forecast, monitor and report outlet budgets (labor, food, beverage, supplies, equipment) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate staffing. Respond to guest feedback to improve experiences and drive future sales. Create and implement promotions, displays, buffet presentations and ideas to capture more in-house guests and expand market share. Monitor maintenance and sanitation of outlets and equipment to protect assets and ensure quality service. Maintain attendance discipline and be available to work regularly. Demonstrate leadership to motivate staff, plan and delegate, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Ensure adherence to hospitality industry standards, including marketing plans, security, personnel and labor relations, business planning, repairs, and long-range planning.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of post-high school education
- Two+ years of full employment in a related position
- Hotel experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of restaurant/hotel practices and procedures
- Ability to interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel associates
- Ability to manage budgets including labor, food and beverage costs
- Knowledge of safety regulations, LSOPs and SOPs
- Strong supervision, management and communication skills
- Ability to analyze activities, make decisions guided by policy and procedures
- Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
