Job Summary
Lead the audit from planning to completion for private companies, performing external audits of financial statements and testing internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance. Manage field engagement teams while coaching junior staff, conducting analysis of complex accounting issues and financial systems to support audit conclusions. Review the work of junior staff to ensure quality standards are met, establish strong customer relationships, and present clear conclusions to clients or managers. Requires proficiency in both English and French, with experience in Canadian financial standards (ASPE, IFRS) as an asset.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4–5 years of experience specifically in external audit
- Knowledge of business trends and emerging technical and industry developments
- Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand the client's business and maintain strong relationships
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and French
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Canadian financial standards (ASPE, IFRS) is a strong asset
