Job Summary
The Senior Experience Designer will conduct user research to gather requirements, create personas, and propose enhancements to Autodesk's products based on user needs. Responsibilities include designing alternative solutions, visualizing prototypes, facilitating usability tests, and collaborating with product management to distill customer insights into actionable features. The role requires strong communication skills, a solid foundation in design and usability practices, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional interaction design and usability evaluation/research experience with multi-disciplinary design teams
- Demonstrable understanding of modern software development processes as they relate to design
- A solid understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Ability to develop interactive prototypes and documentation to aid evaluation and development of designs
- Strong communications skills: written, verbal and visual
- Fluent English language skills
- Fast learning
- Ability to solve complex problems and drive projects from concept through implementation
- Able to influence decision-making at all levels
- Prior experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch or similar
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with any architectural design tools or Autodesk products
- Previous experiences in AEC industry, such as architect or technology specialist
- An advanced degree in HCI-related or architecture subject
- Expertise in modern software development processes and concepts (Agile) for user experience
- Demonstrable interest in the details and the results of the design process, not just the initial concept
- Interact with and influence others effectively via teamwork and diplomacy
