Job Summary
Senior Executive responsible for EHS management at Sun Pharma plant in Halol. Leads daily safety rounds, investigates incidents, conducts risk assessments, and ensures legal compliance. Coordinates Safety Committee activities, monitors safety permits, plans mock drills, performs pre-start safety reviews, and tracks changes from an EHS perspective. Oversees audit of unsafe acts/conditions, monitors illumination/noise, maintains fire and safety systems, and ensures system availability in emergencies. Delivers safety and fire training to staff, operators, and contractors to foster a safety culture. Manages inventory and procurement of PPE, safety gear, and related spares, and supervises Safety Engineer, Firemen, and apprentices. Drives strategic safety initiatives, events like Safety Day and World Environment Day, and overall safety improvements for the plant. Educational background includes B. Sc/ M. Sc/ B.E./B Tech with PDIS/ADIS and 8+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: B. Sc/ M. Sc/B.E./ B Tech. with PDIS/ ADIS
- Experience: 8+ years
- EHS Management: Plant round on daily basis and Monitoring for Identification & control of potential/existing risk/hazards likely leading to injury/loss.
- Incident/accident investigation, Analysis of accidents/ incidents & follow-up of implementation of corrective/ preventive measures.
- Coordinating with site EHS head for Safety Committee meetings.
- Daily monitoring of safety work permits.
- Planning the Mock drills at site and generating reports.
- Performing the Risk assessment, Pre-start up safety Review and review of changes/modification from EHS aspect.
- Monitoring of Legal Compliance.
- Shop Floor Monitoring: Audit of unsafe act and unsafe conditions and report creation.
- Illumination & Noise level monitoring at required locations in the plant.
- Upkeep Inspection & continuous monitoring of various Fire & Safety Systems/equipment/gadgets to ensure availability of system at the time of exigency.
- EHS Training & Education: To impart safety & Fire training/retraining through internal resources for Staff, Operators & contractors to create awareness amongst them to inculcate safety culture.
- Inventory Management: Need assessment, Selection, procurement co-ordination, distribution & inventory management of all Safety, fire & Personal Protective Equipment & its distribution management, spares, consumables & other auxiliaries.
- People Management: Monitoring activities of Safety Engineer Firemen & apprentice
- Strategic Planning & new initiatives: Assessment of Safety, Fire for existing plant & any modification.
