Job Summary
Senior Executive role in PED (Process Engineering & Development) at Autoliv, based in Cheyyar, India. Responsible for developing new processes, tooling, and equipment for manufacturing new products with robust process controls aligned to program timelines; conducting manufacturing feasibility assessments and capital requirements for RFQs; designing line layouts with waste reduction and ergonomic improvements; optimizing production processes to maximize safety and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) while maintaining world-class quality; leading continuous improvement projects (Lean, DMAIC, 8D) and maintaining process documentation including FMEAs; training technicians and supporting operator training; coordinating with cross-functional and global teams; evaluating local vendors for cost-effective localization. Required competencies include PFMEA, PFD, CP, SWI, IATF audit requirements; AutoCAD and 3D design proficiency; PLC programming, Vision systems, Robotics, Hydraulic and Pneumatic troubleshooting; MES and project management; strong behavioral competencies (customer focus, global perspective, innovation, accountability, collaboration, and people development). Education: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics; Experience: 8–10 years in Automobile Tier 1 / OEM; Languages: Tamil, English.
