Job Summary
Co-create executive communication strategies and draft speeches, talking points, briefings, video scripts, and internal messages for Roche's Board members and Corporate Executive Committee. Provide rehearsals, conduct communications training with Q&A sessions, and support the Global Head of External Engagement in drafting talking points for media interviews. Contribute to quarterly business results reporting and represent External Engagement on cross-functional teams to break down silos while leveraging key learnings across the organization. Manage external agencies and budgets, lead thought leadership programs on LinkedIn, and handle crisis communications as needed. This role requires bilingual proficiency in German and English, based in Basel, Switzerland.
Required Qualifications
- Corporate/public affairs experience
- Exceptional writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to comfortably engage with all levels of the organisation and influence senior leadership
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and oversee several projects simultaneously
- Cross-functional project management
- Managing external agencies and budgets
- Bachelor's degree in PR, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline
- Minimum of +8 years of related experience
- Bilingual proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to learn C-suite leaders' unique voices
- Experience in working directly with executive leaders and their teams
- Ability to craft enterprise-wide narratives
- Ability to drive impactful communications
- Ability to engage directly with global leaders across the organisation
- Ability to co-create executive communication strategies
