Job Summary
Manage end-to-end shipment lifecycles for assigned accounts, ensuring adherence to customer SOPs and operational standards. Execute and coordinate shipments including booking approvals, pre-alerts, governmental filings, and delivery while maintaining data integrity in Navisphere. Generate complex quotes, apply financial components for billing, and provide track-and-trace services to customers. Coach and train others on pricing strategies and process improvements, acting as a key customer contact and subject matter expert. Monitor shipment trends, facilitate relationships with customers and vendors, and collaborate cross-functionally to identify process improvements and consultative leads.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of Air Freight Operations experience in Global Forwarding industry
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business
- Basic understanding of Quality Management (ISO 9001)
- Extensive industry and department knowledge (process & handling, regulations, international shipping, etc.)
- Strong prioritization, multi-tasking skills, and high level of flexibility as priorities and needs change daily
- Proactive, ambitious, hardworking, and analytical mindset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
- Proven track record of dealing with customers and being client focused
- High level of attention to detail and ability to execute with 95% or higher monthly audit compliance and minimal unbillable charges
