Job Summary
Manage logistical execution and operational delivery for high-profile client events with budgets ranging from $500K to $1M+. Serve as the primary client contact during pre-planning, post-sale operations, and on-site management while negotiating supplier contracts, managing gross margins, and overseeing field staff assignments and compensation. Coordinate all program production paperwork, including trip sheets, invoicing, and job costing, while assisting experience designers and maintaining seamless venue coordination. Develop new operational processes, lead department meetings, and facilitate professional development initiatives for event producers. Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to ensure successful delivery of client objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be based in/near Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, or New Orleans
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant experience
- 4 years of experience in overseeing the execution of corporate meetings, client events, and other complex programs
- Proven ability to lead operations functions and effectively supervise, develop, and mentor Field Staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse group of clients, supplier partners, coworkers and employees
- Demonstrated success in analyzing and interpreting client requirements, contracts, financial reports, and complex legal documents to mitigate risk and ensure profitability
- Skilled at presenting information and responding to questions from clients, supplier partners and hoteliers
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple programs with different deadlines
- Must be able to work well with all levels of management and staff, hoteliers and venue staff, clients and supplier partners
- Deep market knowledge of attractions, hotels, parks, venues and supplier partners in the local area and ability to locate and vet new venues and supplier partners
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- DMC, corporate incentive travel, hospitality or related experience highly preferred
