Job Summary
Manage logistical execution and operational delivery of high-profile client events with budgets ranging from $500K to over $1M. Serve as the primary client contact during pre-planning, post-sale operations, and on-site management, negotiating terms, up-selling, and ensuring gross margin targets are met. Coordinate all supplier contracts, confirmations, and billing while overseeing field staff assignments, training, and compensation processing. Prepare trip sheets, manage inventory, and facilitate seamless venue coordination through pre-con meetings. Assist in program development, maintain accurate job costing and invoicing, and implement operational improvements to enhance delivery standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant experience
- 4 years of experience in overseeing the execution of corporate meetings, client events, and other complex programs
- Proven ability to lead operations functions and effectively supervise, develop, and mentor Field Staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse group of clients, supplier partners, coworkers and employees
- Demonstrated success in analyzing and interpreting client requirements, contracts, financial reports, and complex legal documents to mitigate risk and ensure profitability
- Skilled at presenting information and responding to questions from clients, supplier partners and hoteliers
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple programs with different deadlines
- Must be able to work well with all levels of management and staff, hoteliers and venue staff, clients and supplier partners
- Deep market knowledge of attractions, hotels, parks, venues and supplier partners in the local area and ability to locate and vet new venues and supplier partners
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Applicants must be based in/near Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, or New Orleans
Desired Qualifications
- DMC, corporate incentive travel, hospitality or related experience highly preferred
