Job Summary
Senior Event Manager responsible for supporting concerts and major live events at Camp Randall Stadium and the Kohl Center; serves as a key liaison for event promoters and production managers; oversees pre-event planning, on-site execution, and post-event settlement; coordinates all event needs based on client contracts, production riders, and venue requirements to ensure exceptional experiences; supports broader event management for athletic contests and department events; leads a specific sport assignment as needed; requires strong relationship-building, organization, adaptability, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports/Event Management, Hospitality, Theater and Drama, Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience in field
- Minimum 5+ years’ related experience in the entertainment and/or live events industry with large-scale events in a stadium or multipurpose arena setting (8,000 to 60,000 seats)
- Experience with booking and events coordination
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Facility operations
- Event coordination and event-related services
