Job Summary
Lead Engineering & Equipment Reliability evaluator on continuum site visits, WANO peer reviews, and assistance visits for nuclear power stations. Recognize gaps to excellence, discern the significance and causes of plant problems, and work with the industry to improve materials and equipment reliability performance. Mentor new employees through qualification processes while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to INPO core values. Requires frequent travel up to 40% domestically and internationally, unescorted access authorization to nuclear sites, and a US Real ID.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six or more years of professional work experience
- Four or more years of experience in relevant specialty area
- Two years of supervisory or equivalent experience
- Must be able to work prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to travel domestically or internationally by plane or car
- Must have a US state or territory issued Real ID compliant driver's license or identification card
- Employment is dependent upon successfully completing a pre-employment background check and drug and alcohol test
- This position requires unescorted access authorization to nuclear power stations
- This position requires direct or indirect access to certain export-controlled technology, for which INPO may be required to obtain an export license in accordance with applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, physical science or other related area
- Navy nuclear training
- Five or more years of nuclear plant experience
- Two years of INPO/WANO evaluation experience
- Two years of manager or equivalent experience
