Job Summary
Senior ETL/Python Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards/reports to support Medicaid analytics, federal reporting, and enterprise decision support. The role emphasizes Tableau and Python engineering, large healthcare datasets, and collaboration with architects, analysts, QA, PMs, SMEs, developers, and BI teams across legacy and cloud platforms. Responsibilities include building and optimizing scalable data processing with Python, supporting Medicaid analytics and federal reporting initiatives (e.g., T-MSIS, PERM, MARS, Quality of Care), writing and optimizing SQL and stored procedures across Teradata and similar relational databases, participating in cloud migration within Azure-based architectures, supporting production operations and incident resolution, and contributing to code reviews, source control, and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in reporting/dashboard development, strong SQL and Spark experience, and a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; healthcare/public-sector analytics experience and Azure data engineering certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Reporting and Dashboard development with a focus on enterprise data warehousing
- 5+ years of hands-on Reports and Dashboard development using Tableau, Business Objects
- 5+ years of Python development for data engineering and automation
- 3+ years of experience with Spark-based processing frameworks (Databricks or equivalent)
- Strong SQL expertise and experience with relational databases (such as Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experience with source control and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Healthcare or public-sector analytics experience (preferred)
- Data modeling experience in enterprise data warehouse environments (preferred)
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash) for automation and orchestration (preferred)
- Experience designing or consuming APIs (REST) within data platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, reconciliation, and audit support (preferred)
- Azure certifications related to data engineering or analytics (preferred)
