Job Summary
Senior ETL Administrator to design, implement, and maintain ETL processes and data movement into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) with hybrid work from Newport News, VA. Responsibilities include building and troubleshooting ETL pipelines, enforcing data governance and security, maintaining data quality, collaborating with Data Science, DBA, and business stakeholders, documenting metadata and data flows, and supporting nightly data processing jobs. Requires extensive experience with SQL Server/MySQL, ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS), data modeling, data integration, and CI/CD practices. Must be able to adapt to evolving technologies and contribute to a team-focused, service-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree from a college or university specializing in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field; or equivalent combination of working experience/training.
- Five years of experience with Database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) related to data warehousing concepts and methodologies is required.
- Five years of experience in ETL development and administration with expertise in one or more ETL tools is required such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSIS, etc.
- At least one year of knowledge related to data modeling and data integration best practices is required.
- At least one year of knowledge related to data governance, data security, and data quality principles is required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve ETL-related issues.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new tools quickly.
- Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment working with Configuration Management tools (i.e., Bitbucket, Bamboo, GitHub) preferred.
- Microsoft certification relevant to the database administration field strongly preferred.
