Job Summary
Review contract specifications, documents, and drawings to perform accurate takeoffs. Develop and verify quantity estimates through plan measurements while researching and interfacing with vendors and subcontractors for proposals. Update material pricing and labor rates in estimating software, staying current with industry standards and new technologies to expedite the process. Coordinate digitally with Engineering Consultants and Designers to complete takeoffs, attend occasional project site visits, and pre-bid meetings. Assist with other estimating duties as assigned. This Senior Estimator reports to the Chief Estimator and works closely with Estimators and Project Managers on projects ranging from The Purple Line Extensions to data center expansions.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field)
- Prior experience in construction industry
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree desired (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field)
- Prior experience in construction industry preferred
