Job Summary
Senior Transmission Line Estimator leads estimating for HV transmission projects including substation and high-voltage distribution; develops conceptual and detailed estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing; collaborates with Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and design teams to translate requirements into complete, competitive proposals; reviews plans to identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities for value engineering; maintains historical data and cost models to improve accuracy; mentors junior estimators and supports estimating tools/workflows; travel regionally for site visits and client reviews; requires 5+ years in transmission line estimating and proficiency with estimating software; hybrid work schedule (3 days in office / 2 days remote); degree in Construction Management or Engineering strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in transmission line estimating
- Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Bid2Win, ISqFt, On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials used in high-voltage transmission projects
