Job Summary
Senior Estimator responsible for quantification, cost estimation, and bid preparation for construction projects, including leading the Estimating team during tender closings. Collaborates with Project Management to reflect project requirements in estimates, conducts detailed review of contract documents, identifies risks and opportunities, performs quantity take-offs, manages bids from subcontractors and suppliers, and prepares the critical path construction schedule. Mentors Junior Estimators and coordinates with construction teams to ensure smooth transition to project execution. Requires a College Diploma or University Degree in Construction or Engineering with 8–12 years of estimating experience in heavy civil environments, plus strong planning, communication, and software skills (MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline).
Required Qualifications
- College Diploma or University Degree in Construction or Engineering
- Eight (8) to twelve (12) years of construction estimating experience with a general contractor
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, sketches, schematics and contract specifications
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with MS Office Suite and estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Timberline, MS Project, Primavera P6)
