Job Summary
Senior Estimator responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for high-rise residential towers across conceptual to final bid stages; perform precise quantity takeoffs for structural, architectural, building envelope, interior finishes, and MEP; solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers; compile tender documents and bid packages; contribute to cost analysis and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities; collaborate with the Chief Estimator, Project Managers, consultants, owners, and trades to ensure alignment on scope and estimates; maintain estimating databases with historical data and unit pricing; conduct site visits to collect information influencing cost and construction logistics; identify and communicate risks related to estimates, subcontractor proposals, and market conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., AScT) preferred
- 10-12+ years of progressive experience in construction estimating
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Timberline Precision Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of construction contract types (e.g., CCDC2, CC5A, CCDC5B, CCA1)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
