Job Summary
Develop conceptual estimates, bids, and pricing analysis for proposed projects while performing detailed quantity take-offs. Maintain bid logs, prepare subcontractor scopes of work, and conduct site surveys to evaluate specifications and drawings. Develop budgets, manage RFIs, and solicit bids from qualified subcontractors. Engage with marketing and internal teams during the proposal process by reviewing RFPs and communicating with owners, architects, and engineers. Conduct research on construction materials, pricing, and trends to ensure competitiveness. This full-time role in our Salt Lake City office requires 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience and proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and Bluebeam Revu.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Engineering or Construction Management
- 10+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects
- Knowledge of architecture, engineering and construction
- Strong ability to analyze project drawings, specifications and RFPs
- Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline environment
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Mastery with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam Revu, & Microsoft Office software (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel, etc.)
- High mastery in navigating and leading turnover meetings, close out reviews, and cost analyses
- Strong Mechanical, Plumbing & Electrical experience
