Job Summary
Senior Civil Estimator responsible for estimating and proposal creation, proposal tracking and customer follow-up, project and job cost setups (handoff from preconstruction to construction), contract negotiations and redlining, establishing project schedule baselines, onboarding projects, folder and file setups, subcontractor and vendor solicitation, linear and earthwork volume takeoffs, plus sales and business development for potential new projects. Must have minimum 5 years of heavy civil estimating experience, at least 2 years of college in a construction-related field, and proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, Planswift, Bluebeam, Building Connected, Microsoft Office, Agtek, Project/P6, and Spectrum. Strong communication with general contractors, owners, and municipality representatives; a collaborative team player who can work independently, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience (heavy civil) in a construction environment
- Minimum 2 years of college, preferably in a construction related field
- Experience in heavy civil construction related projects
- Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Planswift, Microsoft Suite, Agtek, Project/P6, Spectrum
- Open to learn other software applications
- Ability to read plans
- A team player who works well with others or independently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
- Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines
- Organized with the ability to multi-task
- Pass a background check and drug screen
