Job Summary
Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through final proposals by analyzing drawings, preparing quantity takeoffs, and soliciting subcontractor pricing. Develop comprehensive project budgets, GMPs, and change order pricing while identifying scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities. Collaborate with owners, architects, and internal teams to ensure accurate, competitive proposals submitted in accordance with client requirements. Mentor team members, establish estimating standards, and support business development through client meetings and networking. Participate in design-assist efforts and coordinate estimate reviews with executive leadership to drive margin recommendations and strategic growth.
Required Qualifications

- Basic presentation skills to represent information and updates in a group setting
- Ability to read and comprehend complex construction documents i.e., blueprints
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

- Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
- 5-10 years of related experience with a commercial General Contractor
- Experience with conceptual estimating, negotiated work, GMP development, design-build, and hard bid procurement
- Demonstrated experience estimating ground-up commercial construction projects across multiple market sectors
- Up to 20% primarily in their designated Market
- Ability to complete regular day travel for site visits and client meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
- Base knowledge of document editing software i.e., BlueBeam, Adobe Acrobat, Plan Grid, Plexxis
- Strong understanding of commercial building systems, including structural, architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty trades
