Job Summary
Senior Estimator responsible for creating detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects, including materials, subcontractors, labor, and equipment, to assist in bidding and pricing decisions. Key duties include leading estimating/bidding processes, coordinating with the Director of Preconstruction and leadership, delegating tasks, performing quantity take-offs for HVAC systems, developing budgets from design narratives through construction documents, preparing bid packages and subcontracts, reviewing proposals, providing technical support to leadership, coordinating equipment and services, leading a project team, visiting client sites to observe conditions, participating in hiring/mentoring estimators, and ensuring adherence to project scopes and contract terms. Must demonstrate ability to translate client goals into facility-related solutions aligned with industry best practices, and effectively communicate with project stakeholders. Travel to client/project sites and collaboration with cross-functional teams are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in the HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to understanding HVAC systems and controls and basic HVAC principles, concepts, and perform calculations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office related products.
- Regular and supervisory probation period required, if applicable.
- Random drug testing required.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
