Job Summary
Senior Estimator for landscape/sitework construction leads and prepares comprehensive cost estimates for bids, reviewing plans/specs, conducting takeoffs, coordinating with Takeoff Engineers, visiting jobsites for pre-takeoff site investigations, mentoring staff, and assembling detailed bid packages. Responsibilities include analyzing labor productivity, equipment, escalation, margins, and subcontractor quotes; managing bid opportunities, supporting business development, and ensuring accurate budgeting and hand-off on awarded projects. Proficiency with industry tools (Bluebeam, Planswift, HeavyBid, Salesforce) and strong collaboration with project teams and clients are required.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or landscape architecture
- Ten or more years of successful progressively responsible estimating experience in commercial landscape
- Fluent reading and writing in English
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites; experience with Bluebeam, Planswift, Salesforce, HCSS HeavyBid; ability to learn other systems as they evolve
