Job Summary
Develop accurate bid proposals and scope analysis for new projects and change orders by reviewing contract documents, specifications, and drawings to quantify all items in the project scope. Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing, determine qualified vendors, and create complete estimates accounting for materials, equipment, labor, and profit margins aligned with bid strategy. Identify project-specific risks, communicate with the Operations team on production and schedule impacts, and provide value engineering solutions. Prepare comprehensive proposals with durations, assumptions, and exclusions, then follow up with customers for postmortem feedback and promote Kent differentiators. Maintain a preconstruction schedule to manage deadlines and assist with the project hand-off to field operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
- 5+ years of concrete estimating experience
- five years in a leadership capacity
- Proven experience managing concrete preconstruction processes
- In-depth knowledge of construction principles/practices
- Experience building relationships and working with subcontractors and vendors
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to successfully pass a background check related to driving
- Ability to pass a drug screening
