Job Summary
Senior Estimator responsible for preparing construction estimates by soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids, performing quantity take-offs, reviewing plans/specs, and creating bid packaging with the project team. Key duties include posting addenda, coordinating subcontractor contacts, managing vendor solicitation, generating tab sheets, pricing (including self-perform), and ensuring accurate scopes of work and take-offs. Requires collaboration with the Estimating team, Project Director, and project team to deliver complete bid packages; strong math/accounting skills, reading drawings/specs, and ability to meet deadlines. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or equivalent with 5+ years of estimating/preconstruction experience; proficient in construction software; dependable and team-oriented.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience in estimating and/or preconstruction
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or equivalent
- Knowledge and efficiency in construction industry software
- Strong math/accounting skills
- Ability to meet critical deadlines
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
