Senior Estimator - High Rise Residential

Job Summary
Prepare estimates and budgets for ongoing high-rise residential projects throughout southern Ontario, including bid preparation, design/build, and hard-bid estimates. Coordinate subcontractor and supplier bids, finalize quantity take-offs, and conduct site visits to verify quantities. Solicit and award major subtrades, develop cost-saving techniques, and update the Vice President on direct cost changes. Maintain accurate databases, compile historical data, and assist management with development reports and recommendations. Work closely with architects and internal teams to implement tender packages and subcontract awards in accordance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in high rise residential estimating
- Knowledge of building code and municipal requirements
- Ability to prepare, enter, and maintain accurate quantity take-offs estimates
- Capability to conduct price analyses and complete budget and final cost estimates
- Skill to solicit and award major subtrades in accordance with company standard policies
- Ability to develop, learn, and implement software applicable to the job
- Experience with historical data and market pricing for cost allocation
