Job Summary
Develop comprehensive, accurate cost estimates from early conceptual design through final construction documents, including self-perform scopes and site management requirements. Lead detailed estimate packages while conducting quantity takeoffs, conceptual estimating, and cost analysis across all design phases. Monitor design development to identify cost trends, risks, and potential overruns, then drive value engineering efforts and maintain budget option logs. Support construction scheduling and logistics planning, prepare subcontractor bid packages, and manage bid solicitation processes. Collaborate with project teams, owners, and architects on constructability reviews and proposal development. Requires 5–7+ years of construction estimating experience and proficiency in Timberline and Primavera. Salary ranges from $140,000 to $200,000 with an annual discretionary bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of construction estimating experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with estimating software such as Timberline (or similar)
- Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera (or similar)
- Strong understanding of unit costs and factors impacting pricing
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and adaptability to flexible schedules as needed
