Job Summary
The Senior Estimator is responsible for providing estimating services to support the Project Development, Operations, and Estimating departments. Key duties include preparing accurate estimates, managing subcontractor relations, conducting quantity takeoffs, and participating in client meetings. The role requires expertise in estimating software and knowledge of various project delivery methods. Candidates should have a strong ability to manage multiple tasks, lead in team environments, and adapt to changing requirements. A degree in Engineering or a related field and over 10 years of relevant experience are essential.
Required Qualifications
- A Post-Secondary Certificate/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Extensive (10+ years) experience as an estimator in the general construction field
- Operations experience in the role of Project Coordinator or Project Manager is an asset
- Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts
- Experience with coaching teams and collaborative planning
