Job Summary
Join JGM as a Senior Estimator focused on developing detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, with responsibilities including analyzing project documentation, performing quantity take-offs, and soliciting pricing from subcontractors. Ideal candidates will have 10-15 years of experience, in-depth knowledge of structural steel and equipment setting, and proficiency in estimating software. This position requires collaboration with various teams and the ability to present bid proposals. Occasional travel to job sites is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in industrial construction estimating
- In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication/erection, equipment setting, and piping
- Experience managing estimates for projects up to $50 million
- Proficiency in subcontractor/vendor solicitation across multiple trades, including civil, concrete, and electrical
- Expertise in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Sage Estimating) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
