Job Summary
Lead all areas of the estimating process from concept to completion. Actively participate in preconstruction with budget preparation, bid lists, and bid solicitations; prepare bid instructions and information for bidders; maintain knowledge of material unit costs, system square foot costs, and total building square foot costs; manage the cost database for future budgets and pricing; identify and qualify new material suppliers and maintain subcontractor databases; participate in construction planning with preliminary schedules and design meetings; perform on-site visits to verify project status and compare to estimates. Requires 10 years of estimating experience in commercial/residential construction and a degree in Construction or related field; proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and estimating/scheduling software; strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in estimating commercial/residential construction projects
- Degree focusing on Construction or construction-related areas (e.g., Architecture, Civil Engineering)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and estimating/scheduling software
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
