Job Summary
Lead the end-to-end estimating process for multifamily residential projects ranging from $20M–$100M across Southwest Florida, developing conceptual, schematic, and final GMP/bid proposals. Develop accurate quantity takeoffs using digital tools like Bluebeam and PlanSwift, then analyze drawings and specifications to create complete cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids while participating in design review meetings to provide real-time value engineering and constructability input. Mentor junior estimators and collaborate with project managers to align preconstruction with execution strategy, preparing estimates for executive leadership. Requires 8–12 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree; offers include a competitive base salary plus bonus, health benefits, and a long-term project pipeline.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of construction estimating experience
- significant multifamily project work (podium, garden-style, mid-rise, or wrap)
- Strong understanding of project delivery methods (Design-Build, CM-at-Risk, Lump Sum)
- Demonstrated ability to develop conceptual budgets from limited design documentation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar construction software
- Local subcontractor market knowledge (Southwest Florida) a strong plus
